Wright School of Business Hosts Expert on Asian Economy

We live in a global economy, and the Wright School of Business wants to make sure students who graduate from there are prepared for it.

Fernando Garcia, assistant professor of management, arranged to have an expert in Asian business practices speak to his students so they could learn more about how the United States compares and contrasts to Asian countries.

Raj Sashti, the director of the International Studies Consortium of Georgia, stressed the importance of learning the social and business culture of Asian countries, especially China and India, where the economy is booming.

He talked about stereotypes and misconceptions, cultural differences, a difference in core values, and some rules of engagement.

With speakers such as Sashti, the Wright School of Business provides opportunities for students to learn through business professionals while giving them opportunities to network.
